Seriously, now, what if the Mayans were so freaked out by what they thought was going to happen in 2012 that that was the reason their civilization disappeared? They knew it was going to be so awful that in order to be sure they weren't around for it, they said, "Suck it, monkeys!" and made a sneaky French Exit 1500 years early! After all, if you're going down might as well do it in style. The scary thing aboout that is how accurate the Myans have been with everything esle. However, with the slight change in the Earth's rotation their dates have been the slightest bit off- which makes me think that if it's a comet, we might get offf easy. . . or get hit especially hard.
